A woman has died days after being found injured in a Rainham property.

The woman, 30, was discovered hurt after police were called by London Ambulance Service at around 11.05pm on Friday (June 2) to an address in Betterton Road.

She was taken to hospital by ambulance where her condition was deemed critical but died days later on Tuesday (June 6).

A man was arrested on June 2 in connection with the incident and bailed pending further enquiries, police said.

Both are thought to know each other.

No formal cause of death was identified following a post mortem yesterday (June 8).

Her death is being treated as unexplained at this time, police said, but futher tests will be carried out.

Her next of kin have been informed.
