A woman and a child remain in critical condition after a crash in Leyton, a Met Police spokesperson has said.
A collision between two vehicles occurred near Langthorne Road Bridge on the A12 on Friday (August 4). Officers of Met Police were called shortly before 1:50am to the scene.
Medics from London’s Ambulance Service attended the incident along with four ambulance crews, an incident response officer, members of hazardous area response team and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, consisting of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.

They treated one woman and two children on site before taking them to a major trauma centre. A 24-year-old man was reportedly arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
The Met Police spokesperson has now confirmed that the woman and a child, believed to be aged 10, are still in the hospital and their condition is life-threatening.
The arrested man has suffered minor injuries and he too remains hospitalised, the spokesperson said.
Officers are still conducting enquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
