Police confirmed today (September 14) that a boy, 17, remains in life-threatening condition after being stabbed outside Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford on Tuesday (September 12).

Two males arrested in connection with the incident remain in custody.

Officers were called to reports of a group of people fighting outside Westfield near the entrance of Stratford station at around 9pm on Tuesday.

A teenage boy, believed to be aged 17, was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

Pictures from the scene appeared to show a large police cordon in place on the footbridge connecting the entrance of the station to the shopping centre.

Metropolitan Police officers attended along with British Transport Police and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service.
