The British prime minister said the UK was a signatory to a convention prohibiting the production or use of cluster bombs, after Joe Biden agreed to send the munitions to Ukraine. The US government announced it would send cluster bombs as part of an $800m (£625m) security assistance package, in a move that Kyiv said would have an ‘extraordinary psycho-emotional impact’ on the occupying Russian forces.
