The bodies of Monika, 35, Michal, 39, Maja 11, and three-year-old Dawid Wlodarczyk were discovered in Staines Road, Hounslow, on June 16.

Police were called by Maja’s school since they were concerned that she had not attended since June 12.

It was also found that her family members had not replied to messages.

A short time later, police forced entry to the family home where four bodies were discovered.

It is not yet known on which date the family died.

The first two post-mortem examinations were held at Fulham Mortuary on June 18.

Monika’s cause of death was given as multiple sharp-force injuries and Michal’s was caused by sharp-force injuries to the neck. Her death is being treated as a murder.

Post-mortem examinations for Maja and Dawid will take place at Great Ormond Street Hospital today (June 21).

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who is leading the investigation, said: “I would like to assure the community that specialist detectives continue to investigate the circumstances which led to this tragic incident and I will continue to provide further updates as soon as appropriate.

“We are also continuing to support family members at this unimaginably difficult time.

“The situation remains that we are not currently seeking anybody else in connection with the incident.

“We are however retaining an open mind, and I would ask anyone who feels they have pertinent information to contact us as soon as possible.

“Officers remain at the location and forensic examination of the flat is ongoing.”
