Sergeant Robert Bradley covered his face as he arrived at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (September 20) accused of inappropriately touching the woman while off duty on January 26.

Bradley, 48, wore a grey suit and blue tie and spoke only to confirm his name and indicate that he would plead not guilty, although no formal plea was recorded.

His address cannot be reported for legal reasons.

He is attached to the force’s Specialist Operations unit.

The officer, who was charged via postal requisition in August, was released on conditional bail and must not contact the complainant.

He will next appear at Inner London Crown Court on October 18 for a plea and trial preparation hearing, and is on restricted duties.

The Met said the Directorate of Professional Standards is aware of the case.
