Pam Court, after 12 years of “giving her all” as Saint Francis Hospice’s chief executive, will be replaced by Grazina Berry.

Grazina, who has experience of leading other charities, will join the hospice on October 16 and spend three weeks with Pam during the handover period before she leaves on November 3.

Saint Francis Hospice employs 150 nurses, doctors and specialist healthcare staff and has 800 volunteers to provide free care across east London.

“It’s been a privilege,” said Pam. ““I have given my all since I was appointed.

“I instantly felt such a strength of feeling and compassion for the hospice and the people who work in it and support it,” Pam added.

Pam was appointed in 2011 and has stepped down to spend more time with her family.

The incoming chief executive said it was a privilege to be joining the hospice and continuing Pam’s hard work.
