Ricardo Fuller was attending a friend’s birthday party at Discoteca No Problem in Ilford High Road in March 2020 when he was attacked by five men.

Police said that after being asked to leave the club for confronting their 24-year-old victim on the dancefloor, the gang waited nearby.

When Ricardo left the club, the five men gave chase, pursuing him up and down the High Road as he tried to evade his attackers.

CCTV recorded the five men striking out and lunging at the 24-year-old, before fleeing the scene.

Ricardo was able to make his way back to the club, where he collapsed on the dancefloor.

He had been stabbed three times – twice in the back and once in the neck, severing an artery.

Despite the efforts of paramedics he died in hospital later that morning.

Police said that his five attackers fled the country before officers could arrest them.

Three of the men eventually returned to the UK and were convicted in connection to the attack at the Old Bailey yesterday (November 1).

Emanuel Tamwesegire, 31, of Wyemead Crescent in Chingford, and Edmund Tucker, 31, of Vincent Road in Dagenham were both found guilty of murder.

Jarmaine Ahenkorah, 30, of Cumberland Road in Plaistow, has been convicted of manslaughter.

The court heard that there was a longstanding animosity between Ricardo and at least one of the five men who attacked him.

Tamwesegire and Tucker will be sentenced on November 9, and Ahenkorah on November 23.

Following conviction, Ricardo’s family said: “We will always remember Ricardo, he will be in our hearts forever.

“After three long years we are grateful that justice has finally begun to be served.

“We still await the arrest of two more perpetrators in this case and then we may be able to take steps to move forward with our lives.”

Police have named Ahmed Sesay, 31, and Abubaker Tarawally, 25, as two men they wish to locate as part of their investigation.

Anyone with any information about the whereabouts of these two men is asked to call the incident room on 020 8345 1570.
