Police are searching for a man who went missing from a mental health facility while on escorted leave.

Sanchez Edwards, 33, was reported missing from the facility in Hackney on Sunday (July 23).

He was last seen at the junction of Wick Lane and Barnabas Road at around 12pm.

Sanchez was described as wearing a navy puffer jacket, grey tracksuit and white trainers.

Police said that he had links to Hackney, Camden and Newham, and is known to travel using public transport, particularly buses.

They added that Sanchez requires medical support and that officers are concerned for his welfare.

Police urged members of the public not to approach the 33-year-old, and asked that they instead call 999 immediately quoting reference CAD 2919/23Jul.
