A person has died after being hit by a train – with journeys across north east London being disrupted and delayed.
British Transport Police were alerted to the incident today (Wednesday, June 21) at around midday.
They were called to Brimsdown Railway Station to reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Officers attended alongside paramedics but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident has led to trains being cancelled, delayed or revised today.
Greater Anglia announced services linked to stations including Liverpool Street, King’s Cross, Enfield Town, Stratford and Tottenham Hale as affected.
Network Rail said it expects disruption to continue past 5pm.

A Network Rail spokesperson added: “Following reports of a person being hit by a train at Brimsdown around 12pm, services on the West Anglia Main Line were suspended between Tottenham Hale and Waltham Cross to allow emergency services to attend the scene.
“Services have now resumed, and we are working with Greater Anglia to recover the service in time for the afternoon peak to allow passengers to complete their journey.”
