Police were notified of the incident and arrived with the ambulance service to the scene in Winston Way yesterday (October 15).

A Met Police spokesperson said: “At around 7.30pm on Sunday, 15 October officers on patrol in Ilford became aware of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Winston Way. 

“The pedestrian, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing. 

“The driver of the car stopped at the scene. There were no arrests.”

The pedestrian was treated a the scene before being taken to hospital. 

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7.29pm on Sunday 15 October to reports of a road traffic collision in Winston Way, Ilford.

“We sent an ambulance and a medic in a response car.

“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
