Outernet’s HERE and The Lower Third extend licence

Soho’s HERE at Outernet London has extended its weekend licence, with the club now trading until 4am on Friday and Saturday.

With a capacity of 2000 people, HERE is the biggest venue built in central London since the 1940s.

Live music venue The Lower Third, also at Outernet London has extended its weekend trading hours to 4am as well, making both venues to only ones in Soho to secure a 4am licence.

Venue co-founder Karrie Goldberg said: “Now, with this new late licence, it allows us to provide an even broader spectrum of cultural programming. We will create space for new promoters, for sub-cultures to flourish, so we can welcome even more touring and international artists.

“It will support diversity and bring more live music back to central London, driving job opportunities in the music and events industries.”

Since opening last year, HERE has hosted 160 ticketed club nights and live gigs, while The Lower Third has hosted 225 gigs showcasing emerging artists.

Floating Points, Kerri Chandler, Chase & Status, Jodie Harsh, Paul Van Dyk have all taken to HERE’s stage, as did James Blake, Annie Mac, Alison Goldfrapp and Kae Tempest.

Both venues collectively hosted Soho’s biggest pride party Studland Soho, which drew more than 2,000 LGBTQ+ partygoers and a host of queer talent.

Outernet London is the landmark futuristic district that opened up on the Tottenham Court Road and Charing Cross intersection which opened in 2022.

In addition to HERE and The Lower Third, Outernet London homes glitzy Cantonese restaurant Tattu, Mediterranean restaurant Cavo, hotel Chateau Denmark and bar Thirteen.

Outernet London also houses the Now Building which has a street level exhibition space boasting a pioneering 23 square foot floor-to-ceiling16K digital screens.

The announcement comes a week after the opening weekend of north London mega club Drumsheds.

Housed in the former IKEA Tottenham site, Drumsheds is a 15,000 capacity venue from Broadwick Live, the team behind Printworks in Peckham, Field Day, and The Beams in Canning Town.
