A childcare practice in Dagenham has been told by Ofsted it does not comply with Childcare Register requirements after an inspection.

An inspector visited Savvy Kids LTD on April 6 and a letter to the provider has now been published.

It says that the centre, which operates out of St John the Divine Church in Goresbrook Road, was “not meeting all of the requirements for registration on the Childcare Register”.

The report specified that two actions would have to be completed.

These are to “make sure that anyone who provides childcare has obtained an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with barred lists” and to “provide training to everyone who looks after children on the procedures in your safeguarding policy”.

A spokesperson for Savvy Kids LTD said that a staff member had not yet had their DBS check back at the time of the inspection and had also not completed their training.

The spokesperson confirmed that this has been done and received since the inspection.
