Aidan Francis-Clarke made his first start for Daggers in place of the suspended Harry Phipps, as Josh Hare returned to the matchday squad after injury as one of only for substitutes.
And the visitors came under early pressure before loanee Francis-Clarke saw a header cleared off the line on 16 minutes.
Lewis Page produced a superb tackle to deny Fulham loanee Oliver Sanderson a run through on goal, before Omar Mussa fired over from range on 32 minutes.
Josh Rees then blazed a good chance over soon after before seeing Chris Haigh pull off a stunning save to prevent him scoring with four minutes left in the first half.
Mussa was booked after the restart, then made way for Conor Lawless just past the hour, and Ryan Hill was inches away from opening the scoring when hitting the post.
Elliot Justham pulled off a great save to deny Josh Ashby on 73 minutes, with Sydney Ibie replacing Rees in the second Daggers change moments later.
And West Ham youngster Keenan Appiah-Forson was given his Daggers debut as a late replacement for Hill, with Haigh producing an outstanding save to deny Charley Kendall in the last minute of normal time.
Daggers return to Victoria Road to host Bromley on Tuesday.
Dagenham & Redbridge: Justham, Tavares, Hessenthaler, Francis-Clarke, Rees (Ibie 74), Vincent, Hill (Appiah-Forson 87), Page, Kendall, Ling, Mussa (Lawless 61). Unused sub: Hare.
