The rider, a man in his 20s, collided with a car that had allegedly failed to stop for police at around 3.30pm on Monday (June 26).
The incident took place in Cranbrook Road at the junction of Martley Drive.
The man was taken to hospital after being treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service. He remained in hospital for about a week when his condition was believed to be “potentially life-changing”.
He however died from his injuries on Monday (July 3).
A Met Police spokesperson has said that his next of kin have been informed.
No other injuries were reported, they added.
