Daniel Humphreys, 37, of Chipstead Valley Road in Coulsdon, pleaded not guilty to two charges of misconduct in a public office.

He is accused of having “wilfully misconducted” himself by engaging in an inappropriate personal relationship with a vulnerable female who he had met while investigating an alleged domestic violence incident in which she was the victim.

The offences are said to have happened between July 4 2019 and November 21 2021, while he was acting as a Met Police officer.

He is also accused of having obtained information from the Met Police Service computer systems without authorisation for a non-policing purpose and shared the information with a person who was not a police officer.

The hearing took place on Monday (October 23) at Southwark Crown Court.

He was unconditionally bailed to next appear at trial which was set for July 21, 2025.
