A fire crew from Dagenham Fire Station worked with partner agencies to make the scene safe, a spokesperson said.

The AA reported congestion and queuing traffic due to the crash as the road was cordoned off by police.

No arrests have been made so far but enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are ongoing.
