Video clips and images of the incident shared on social media show a lorry on the side of road, blocking the street.

Emergency services are still on site while the lorry is being recovered.

The AA has reported that Forest Road is closed both ways between Tomswood Hill (Fulwell Cross) and Fairlop Waters Country Park.

A detour is in operation for bus route 462.
