The great summer of Ashes cricket continues at Lord’s when the England and Australian women’s teams battle it out on Saturday (July 8).
It is the latest match in the multi-format Ashes series, which has seen a one-off Test won by Australia, and forms part of three T20 games alongside three ODIs, making up the seven matches in total.
England have won the historic series six times and will be aiming to make that seven this summer.
The series is decided on the total number of points won, with points based on the match format. Australia’s Test victory saw them score four points, with each T20 and ODI worth two points for a win and a point each for a no result.
Saturday’s T20 follows the recent announcement that Lord’s will host an England women’s Test match for the first time at the famous ground in 2026.
Ahead of Saturday’s match, a special event will take place in the Harris Garden at Lord’s, where the women’s Ashes were created in 1998 when players from both teams signed a cricket bat which was burnt down with the ashes used to create the current trophy.
A big crowd is expected at the home of cricket on Saturday, following last year’s record-breaking attendance for a women’s international at Lord’s when England narrowly lost to India.
Tickets start from just £15 for adults and £5 for under-16s, with a group ticket booking of eight or more getting a 10 per cent discount.
