The traditional event sees thousands line the streets as they watch the three-mile parade filled with marching bands, impressive floats and the gold State Coach.

Included in the 2023 procession are the likes of the Romford Drum & Trumpet Corps, Royal Air Force Band, St John Ambulance and many more.

Whether you are heading down to watch the Lord Mayor’s Show or you are visiting London at the weekend, you might want to find out the route and check if any road closures will affect your journey.

London Lord Mayor’s Show Route

The procession will start at 11am from Mansion House with the bands of Scots and Welsh Guards turning the corner of Princes Street.

From their turn, the Guards will pass the new Lord Mayor on the balcony, and it will take the bands 12 minutes to reach St Paul Cathedral.

They will then reach the Royal Courts of Justice at 11.26am, with most of the procession yet to set off at this point.

The Lord Mayor will remain on the balcony at Mansion House whilst the 80 floats begin the route and will leave after the household cavalry and the Pikemen of the Honourable Artillery Company have passed.

Once the Lord Mayor has descended, they will climb into the State Coach and join the procession.

The State Coach is set to arrive at St Paul’s at 12.11pm where the Lord Mayor will receive a blessing and later set off to head for the City and Temple Bar.

Arriving at the Royal Courts of Justice in Westminster at 12.31pm, the first part of the procession will come to an end.

On the return, the Lord Mayor and floats will leave Temple Place, and march up Embankment and Victoria Street, leading the Lord Mayor back to Mansion House at 2.33pm.
