The Met Office predicts temperatures on Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7 will reach 32C in some parts of the UK.

It’s also likely that the heatwave will continue into the weekend for England and Wales, but how much of the heatwave will London see?

Discussing the hotter-than-usual weather, Met Office Chief Meteorologist Neil Armstrong said: “High pressure is situated to the southeast of the UK, which is bringing more settled conditions and temperatures well above average for the time of year.”

Adding: “An active tropical cyclone season in the North Atlantic has helped to amplify the pattern across the North Atlantic, pushing the jet stream well to the north of the UK, allowing some very warm air to be drawn north.”

When will the heatwave end in London?

However, with much of the country set to cool down starting next Monday, it shouldn’t be too long until the autumn weather arrives.
