TfL buses are “guided” by the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and its target that 80 per cent of all journeys will be made on foot, by bike or public transport by 2041.
There is currently a bus fleet of around 9,300 buses poerating across 675 different routes.
The latest timetable changes are in place to help “match demand, deliver value for money and allow TfL to invest in outer London”.
Below are the following changes to London TfL bus routes starting this weekend.
From Saturday (July 1)
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 39, which will widen the frequency of the service to every 9-10 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and to every 13-14 minutes during the daytime on Sundays.
This temporary change is to give buses more time to complete journeys during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Route 57 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 85 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 92 which will widen the frequency of the service to every 11 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Fridays.
No change to frequency during the evenings, on Saturdays or on Sundays.
This temporary change is to give buses more time to complete journeys during HS2 works on Greenford Road.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 93 which will widen the frequency of the service to every 7-8 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and to every 11 minutes during the daytime on Sundays.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 111 which will widen the frequency of the service to every 9-10 minutes during the PM peak on Monday to Fridays and to every 11 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays.
No change to frequency during the AM peak, during the evenings or on Sundays.
This temporary change is to give buses more time to complete journeys during the Hampton Court Flower Show.
Route 114 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with journey times revised to better reflect current traffic levels.
Route 213 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 216 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
Route 265 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times. From this date route 265 will be operated by Go Ahead London.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route 493 which will widen the frequency of the service to every 13 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Saturdays and to every 21 minutes during the daytime on Sundays.
Route 643 will be operated by Uno Buses from this date.
Route K4 will have a new timetable on all days of the week with minor changes to times.
A temporary timetable will be introduced on route P4 which will widen the frequency of the service to every 12-13 minutes during the daytime on Monday to Sundays and to every 15-16 minutes during the evening.
This temporary change is to give buses more time to complete journeys during diversionary works in the Honor Oak area.
