Havering Council has received several planning applications in the past week, for a wide range of projects across the borough.

From new-build dwellings to changes of use and extensions, the list includes full scale developments and minor property alterations.

One of the notable applications relates to 19 Ashwood Avenue, Rainham RM13 9AS.

The proposal involves the construction of 2 x 4-bed new-build dwellings with rear dormers and front rooflights, along with associated parking and amenity space.

However, it is worth noting that this development requires the demolition of existing dwellings and the creation of a new crossover.

Another major application, P1218.23, pertains to 42 Chase Cross Road, Romford RM5 3PR. The applicant seeks to convert the existing GP surgery to a Veterinary surgery on the ground floor, while reserving the first floor for office space.

As part of the proposal, upgrades to external areas, including a single-storey front side with a part rear extension and 2 EV Charge points, are also planned.

Other applications include a Certificate of Lawfulness for existing uses, such as E0026.23 for a loft conversion at 68 Sowrey Avenue, Rainham RM13 7NA, and E0025.23 for an existing ground floor rear extension at 22 Spencer Road, Rainham RM13 8HB.

Additionally, residents have sought planning permission for various extensions. For instance, P1205.23 at 25 Walmer Close, Romford RM7 8QH, is seeking permission for a single-storey rear extension.

Applicant for P1206.23 at 2 Beverley Gardens, Hornchurch RM11 3PA, seeks to undertake a single storey front, side, and rear extension, along with a roof space conversion.

The planning applications also include proposed changes of use, such as P1202.23, which involves changing from a HMO to Mixed Use, and P1199.23, where an attached single storey side garage is set to be converted into a makeup/treatment studio.

The council is yet to make a decision on all the above proposals. Detailed documents for each can be found on Havering Council’s website.
