A health fair is being put on in Romford by seven GP surgeries to help keep people fit and spot early symptoms if anything’s wrong.

It is being held at the Victoria Centre in Pettits Lane on July 22 by Havering Crest Primary Care Network for a chance to speak to health professionals like dieticians, pharmacists and diabetes specialists.

“We’re hoping to see as many people as possible,” the network’s clinical GP director Dr Asif Imran said.

“A few minutes speaking to a health professional or having a quick test could have major benefits and help diagnose conditions at an earlier stage to make them easier to treat.”

The fair, which will run from 1pm to 4pm, aims to spread the word about services and support for healthcare, for everyone in Havering even if they aren’t a patient at any of the seven network surgeries.

It also has advice on issues like cost-of-living support and an exhibition from an art therapy class.
