Hundreds of Harry Potter fans are set to gather in London’s King’s Cross station this week for Back to Hogwarts Day.

The annual event on September 1st marks the day students return to the magical school of Hogwarts.

Although a global event for Harry Potter fans, King’s Cross is the main place to be with endless celebrations and all things magical taking place.

Fans gather at the station, home to the platform 9¾, and count down to 11am, when the Hogwarts Express begins its journey to the Wizarding school.

What to expect for Back to Hogwarts Day at King’s Cross?

The day will be filled with magic with activities and entertainment at the station on offer to all.

Fans at King’s Cross will get the chance to enjoy some Butterbeer and play Hogwarts Legacy on a PlayStation5.

Plus, there will be a chance to take home some Harry Potter LEGO with giveaways and photo opportunities.

Of course, no journey to Hogwarts would be complete without some reading material and the latest publication of The Harry Potter Wizarding Almanac will keep you entertained.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it down to King’s Cross, as the station will be filled with Harry Potter activities until September 3rd.

When is Back to Hogwarts Day?

Every year Back to Hogwarts Day takes place on September 1st to mark the day students make their journey back to the magical school.

At 11am, Harry Potter fans gather to see the exact time the Hogwarts Express sets off with a special board displayed at King’s Cross.
