Captain Billy Gordon chose to bat after winning another toss and saw Jalpesh Vijay put on 73 with Paul Murray before falling for a dogged 12 from 35 balls.
Murray added another 108 either side of lunch with Lesbourne Edwards, falling for 75 soon after the restart.
George Hankins and Edwards (82) departed in quick succession to leave the visitors 213-4, but Adeel Malik dominated a 66-run stand with Gordon, hitting 53 off 45 balls, as Hornchurch closed on 293-5 off 62 overs.
Gordon removed both Loughton openers with only 20 runs on the board and picked up a third scalp to leave the hosts 47-3.
And the skipper struck again to end a dogged fourth-wicket stand with the total on 90, before Malik began to work his way through the middle and lower order.
Malik took 5-49 in his 12-over spell to leave Loughton on the brink, before Marc Whitlock wrapped up a 117-run victory and 25-point haul, as nearest rivals Colchester won batting second at lowly Chingford.

Cameron Tredgett (21) then took Hutton to the brink of a five-wicket success in the 38th over.
