Operator c2c rail said that due to a fault with the signalling system between Barking and London Fenchurch Street no trains can run.
Train services across the whole c2c network – which connects Essex to central London – may be delayed or revised.
Disruption is expected until at least 9.15am today (September 12).
Commuters can use their tickets on the District and Hammersmith & City lines, as well as on Greater Anglia services via any reasonable route.
Operator c2c said that if a customer’s journey was delayed by more than 15 minutes, they may be entitled to cash compensation.
One commuter took to X, formerly Twitter, to ask about the disruption.
@c2c_Rail any chance of some updates? I’ve been waiting for nearly an hour so don’t know whether to go home or wait until the issue’s resolved.
