The Metropolitan Police were called at around 1.45pm on Sunday (September 3) to reports of a crash involving a car and a motorbike in Norwood Avenue, Rush Green.

London Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews to the scene. 

They treated a person there before taking them to a major trauma centre. 

The rider’s condition has since been assessed as not life-threatening.

Rush Green Road in Romford was closed in both directions between Norwood Avenue and Lincoln Avenue due to the crash.

A diversion was in place for bus routes 5, 128 and 175.

All roads have now reopened.
