Severe delays on the A12 near Brentwood are expected to last until nearly midnight tonight (June 15) after a serious collision involving an overturned van.
Earlier today (June 15) a van overturned on the London-bound carriageway of the A12, resulting in the road being closed in both directions.

National Highways’ live traffic feed is showing traffic is not moving between junction 28 of the M25, the Brook Street Roundabout, and the junction between the A12 and the B1007, near Galleywood.
Delays are expected to last until nearly midnight, with the event expected to clear between 11.30pm and 11.45pm, according to National Highways.
The A12 remains shut between Junction 13 at Inglestone and Junction 12 at Shenfield following the accident.
This is due to damage on the central reservation and investigation work continues.
There are delays of over an hour on the approach back to the M25, said National Highways East.
Police investigations continue.
