The annual event attracts millions, with thousands travelling to the capital to experience the celebrations.
Taking place across three back-to-back days, Notting Hill Carnival celebrates the culture, arts, and heritage of the Caribbean.
The first carnival took place in 1966 on the streets of Notting Hill as local resident and social worker Rhaune Laslett organised the event for local children, according to the Notting Hill Carnival archive.
Now people from all corners of the world fly to London to take watch, take part and celebrate the carnival.
