Two boys were rushed to hospital after being stabbed in broad dayight outside a TfL station.

Emergency services were called to Shadwell Overground Station just after 4.15pm on Friday (June 16) to reports of a stabbing.

Met Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene on Cable Street, with an air ambulance also landing nearby.

Two  teenage boys were found with stab wounds and rushed to hospital.

The condition of one of the victims has been assessed as not life-threatening.

The condition of the other victim is being assessed, Scotland Yard said. 

Two 15-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. They remain in custody at an East London police station.

A Section 60 was authorised for the E1, E2, E3 and E14 areas until 8.05 this morning.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulance crews, an incident response officer and members of our tactical response unit to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.

“Our first medics arrived in less than six minutes.

“We treated two teenagers at the scene before taking them to hospital.”
