TikTok star shares what living in the Tower of London is like

As a famous TikTok star and author, Megan Clawson has shared what her day-to-day life inside the tower is like. 

Home to the Beefeaters, Megan began sharing her life in the historical site during the coronavirus lockdown in 2020. 

The TikTok creator moved into the Tower of London with her father Chris after he became one of the 32 Yeoman Wardens, which grants workers a two-bedroom home on the grounds. 

With plenty of time available during the lockdown, Megan took to the video platform to share an insight inside the walls that millions of tourists visit every year.

TikTok star shares what it’s like to live in the Tower of London

Sharing what living in the Tower of London is like, Megan takes viewers into her home, the author shows her balcony that faces the wall many tourists use and looks into her room.

Of course, living inside a tower comes with some downsides, as Megan shares they have a “dark staircase that goes on forever because I live in a wall”.

Being a fortress, some of their windows are arrow slits just “in case we get attacked” and there are various weapons dotted around the cosy home.

Megan also gives a look at what day-to-day life in the Tower of London is like as she reveals that every day she takes her dog for a run on the iconic moat of the landmark. 

On her own private balcony, Megan gets to read in a place many would wish to, looking over the great walls, before working in her room which visitors can look into from the walkway. 

With her father being a beefeater and living in his place of work, the TikTok creator gets to see him on shift whilst getting to wander around the Tower of London.

Megan even gets to end her day in the landmark’s own private pub, The Keys, which is just for the Tower of London staff and families. 

In another video, Megan shares what The Keys pub in the Tower of London is like, with only a select few getting an invite. 

Decked out in royal white, red and blue, the pub features historical artefacts including parts of the Roman wall, clay pipes found in the Thames and much more.
