Created and organised by the same team behind the worldwide popular London Marathon, the smaller race is expected to see 15,000 attendees.
The Big Half route covers over 13.1 miles of ground starting at Tower Bridge before finishing at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
To make way for runners, a number of roads will be closed, which locals should be made aware of.
When is the Big Half Marathon?
Racers will be taking to the streets on Sunday, September 3 starting at 9am.
